Environmental Services Company Expands Capabilities In Chattanooga With New Permits

SWS Environmental Services Center

The SWS Environmental Services Chattanooga, Tennessee location recently acquired three new operating permits from the State of Tennessee’s Department of Environment and Conservation. The three permits include a hazardous waste transporter permit, hazardous waste transfer facility permit and used oil transporter permit.

Chattanooga, TN (PRWEB) - SWS Environmental Services’ (SWSES) newest service center opened for business early this fall and has now secured three new permits. These new permits allow the company to conduct a number of new operations including picking up shipments of used oil or oily water locally and transporting them to permitted used oil recycling facilities in either drum or vacuum truck quantities; transferring hazardous waste through the local branch for up to 10 calendar days; and in-bounding loads of containerized hazardous waste from smaller sized emergency response or planned projects to assemble full truckloads of containerized hazardous waste for outbound transport to various waste treatment storage disposal facilities (TSDF’s) that are within the SWSES network of approved disposal vendors.

Customer benefits stem from the immediate growth of business proficiencies. There will be cost transportation savings passed back to the client, more flexibility with additional transportation and dispatch during weekends or holidays, and increased maintenance of compliance with respect to the USDOT transport driver hours of service mandates.

“The acquisition of these new permits allows us to more effectively and efficiently manage transportation movements of containerized hazardous waste,” explained Greg Williams, Director of Environmental Compliance for SWSES. “Further, it allows our personnel a ‘safe haven’ to switch out transport driver’s to continue the journey of hazardous waste transportation or to transfer the waste through the different service center branches, thus making shorter individual runs from our southernmost service center locations.”

The permits include: Used Oil Transporter Permit UOP331058033, Hazardous Waste Transfer Facility Registration Acknowledgement Letter TNR000038745, and Hazardous Waste Transporter Permit TNR000038745.

The Chattanooga service center is one of four locations across the state of Tennessee. For more information on helping your organization and its hazardous or non-hazardous waste management needs, please contact Greg Williams at (813) 241-0282.
