Jacksonville Roll Off Dumpster Company Provides Hauling Services For New Bulkhead Construction At The Mayport Naval Base

Construction Debris

Jacksonville roll off dumpster company is providing 20 and 30 yard dumpsters and hauling services for contractor Orion Marine Group during a bulkhead construction and demolition project at the Mayport Naval Base in Jacksonville, Florida.

Jacksonville, FL (PRWEB) - Jacksonville roll off dumpster company Sunshine Recycling is currently executing a large-scale construction project to design and build a new bulkhead at the Mayport Naval Base in Jacksonville, Florida. Sunshine Recycling will provide hauling services throughout the duration of the project, which is expected to last approximately 14 months. They will be working with the Orion Marine Group, a heavy civil marine contractor with whom Sunshine Recycling has worked previously; 20 yard dumpsters will be used for concrete hauling and 30 yard dumpsters will be used for all other construction and demolition debris.

The Mayport Naval Base is one of three major naval bases in the Jacksonville, Florida area, as well as the third largest naval base on the continental United States. An active seaport and naval air facility, Mayport’s mission is to sustain and enhance military preparation. Established in 1942, the base is now undergoing demolition and construction at Wharf Charlie Two (C-2) to construct a new and improved bulkhead for vessel mooring. Sunshine Recycling will provide hauling and recycling services throughout the duration of the project.

A LEED certified company, Sunshine Recycling is committed to green building, encouraging increased recycling for residential, commercial and industrial projects throughout Florida. Much of the concrete removed during the Wharf Charlie project can be recycled. Scrap concrete can be crushed to make new concrete or asphalt and larger chunks can be used for erosion prevention along waterways, also known as riprap.

“Many people don’t realize just how much construction debris can be recycled, and this project will be generating a good amount of recyclable concrete,” says Chuck Herb, owner of Sunshine Recycling. “We've worked with Orion Marine Group in the past and are happy to be a part of this project!”
