A full compliment of drum magnets are available from MASTERMAG and GEM. The Fragmentizer Drum, available in Permanent or Electro magnetics, is used at auto or white goods scrap yards, to separate the shredded low weight steel from the fluff. Available in diameters to 72" and face widths of 120". For optimum operation - some facilities employ two (2) or three (3) drums in tandem. Magnetic field creates an "agitating" effect, flipping the steel on the drum magnet to loosen the fluff and other non-ferrous materials, before the steel leaves the magnetic field.
The Slag Drum, available only in Electro magnetics, is used at mines and quarries, for the separation of ferrous from non-ferrous aggregates. These drums have the power and durability to retain ferrous materials which may be buried in a non-ferrous mass, i.e., aggregates. Available in diameters to 72" and face widths of 120".
