Machines can be either portable or stationary, and powered by diesel, hydraulic or electric motors. Horsepower for the machines range anywhere from 3HP to 6,000HP with shredder sizes ranging from 9" to 120" in diameter.

Early in the 21st century, American Pulverizer Company and Hustler Conveyor Company plan to be co-located on a 40-acre site in St. Charles, Missouri. A 20,000 square foot facility will serve as the office center for the existing Hustler Conveyor Company's 80,000 square foot manufacturing area as well as the proposed 60,000 square foot manufacturing facility for American Pulverizer Company.
