Hazardous Waste Services

The Hazardous Waste Group of Burns & McDonnell provides CERCLA and RCRA investigation, remedial study, and implementation services for a wide range of clients. We have conducted investigations at facilities including manufacturing plants, chemical plants, landfills, disposal pits, disposal facilities, and public facilities, and have worked for PRP Groups ranging in size from 2 to several hundred. Some of the contaminants that we have investigated and remediated include solvents, chlorinated solvents, herbicides, pesticides, dioxins, metals, petroleum hydrocarbons, radioactive materials, and others. Burns & McDonnell has represented clients to state environmental agencies, the EPA, and the NRC. To help ensure that our clients receive top quality data, we offer analytical data validation. We strive for innovative, proactive solutions that balance life-cycle costs, timely attainment of system shutdown, and cash-flow constraints. We believe that liability management is the key to cost-effective solutions allowing us to provide our clients with cost-saving approaches.
