Injection System

The TRITON INJECTOR Condensate and Leachate Injection System is designed to provide safe, reliable, and cost-effective destruction of liquid in any landfill gas flare system. The system can be incorporated into new and existing landfill gas flare systems and can be customized to meet specific needs.

Many medium sized landfills, and nearly all large landfill sites, require active gas collection systems to effectively control landfill gas emissions and migration. A standard feature of the active gas collection system is the landfill gas flare. The landfill gas flare effectively utilizes the large methane component of the gas to incinerate trace organic compounds. With the use of this injection system, the landfill gas flare can also be used to incinerate the landfill condensate and leachate. The liquid is injected into the stack at the point of optimum combustion where it is vaporized and its organic components incinerated. According to the manufacturer, flare stack emissions are unaffected by the injection of the liquid, and NOx levels may actually be reduced by the buffering temperature effect the liquid has on stack temperatures.
