The Aqua-Tel-TDR soil moisture sensor operates in all types of soils independent of soil texture. The sensor output signal reads the percent of available moisture by volume and may be used to directly control irrigation. It features distributed measurement averaged over 18 in. and is designed for high stability and maintenance-free operation.
The system's probe consists of a small electronic module encapsulated for environmental protection attached to one end of the cylindrical probe. A 10-ft cable is provided to supply power and read out the soil moisture signal, as well as the optional temperature signal.
