Marathon Equipment Company, a Dover Companyand stationary tire shredders are rugged and are designed to provide high production rates with minimum maintenance and downtime. Using high torque, low speed rotation, the hooks pull the tires into the cutting knives. Throughput capabilities range from 1500 to 2000 auto tires or 300 to 400 truck tires an hour for 2-in. rough shreds. Further reduction to two and one in. chips can be accomplished with the addition of a classifier.
