Trapezoidal Windrow Turner

Fecon, Inc.illibald TBU3000 Windrow Turner is designed specifically for trapezoidal (mass bed) composting. Material is stacked up to 10 feet high in a solid mass of material as wide and as long as the site or building allows. An inclined rotor drum fitted with heavy duty brackets and cups slices into piles, inverting the material as it is deposited onto a conveyor for transport across the single working aisle. TBU technology processes approximately 400 yd³ of material per hour.

This product is available in PTO-driven, self-powered and robotic electric models. The PTO model requires a tractor of 120-150hp, two hydraulic ports, and hydrostatic drive or creeper gear to attain the 22 ft./min. working speed. The self-powered system includes a 110-HP diesel engine and hydrostatic drive of the milling rotor and requires a tow vehicle capable of the 22 ft./min. working speed. Both the PTO-driven and self-powered models feature a cab-controlled rotor and conveyor tilt, discharge hood angle, front scraper blade, and a raise/lower tongue function. The programmable indoor electric version is hung from a crane and will automatically turn and transport material stacked up to 10 feet high.
