Waste Oxidizer System

The Waste Oxidizer System is a low cost and environmentally friendly method of destroying solid, liquid and medical waste, on-site. This re-engineered combustion-based system is highly efficient and produces virtually no atmospheric emissions, meeting all international environmental air standards. The major advantages to the system are that it is relatively small, meets specific capacity demands, and can operate at the user's site. This system complements recycling and reduces volumes destined for landfills. Recycling of metals and glass can be completed after the Oxidation cycle. As a consequence, it results in lower waste-disposal costs. The Waste Oxidizer System has low capital and operating costs as well as low labour requirements. Maintenance costs are low due to the small number of moving parts in the system. In addition, the waste heat generated by the oxidation process can be recovered for hot water or steam usage.

Process/Product Application
Treatable waste includes medical waste, solid waste, pharmaceutical waste and body fluids. The combustion temperatures reached are sufficient to ensure complete virus and pathogen kill, eliminating the need for costly off-site disposal. The Waste Oxidation process converts medical waste into an inert, non-toxic ash, resulting in a volume reduction of over 90 percent. Metals and glass are left over and can be sorted for recycling following the oxidation process. The remaining ash can then be safely landfilled. Each unit is designed to treat from one to ten tons of medical waste per day.
