Arcadis Geraghty & Miller Gets New COO
The environmental and engineering services consulting firm also announced the appointment of Michael T. Paczkowski to vice president of Business Practices. In his new capacity he will oversee the strategic service mix and identify new methods to serve the firm's clients in infrastructure and environmental technical services.
These appointments follow the promotions of Steven B. Blake, former chairman and chief executive officer (CEO), to the Arcadis NV Executive Board, and Joe A. Hastey from COO to his current position of CEO.
Myers has been with the organization since 1974, and most recently served as regional vice president for Arcadis Geraghty & Miller's southeast region, which includes offices in Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida.
Before that he served as a regional manager for Piedmont Olsen Hensley, an infrastructure-engineering firm acquired by Arcadis Geraghty & Miller in 1996. He also served as vice president of Operations for Hensley Schmidt, a transportation, water-and-waste management, and general civil-engineering firm that merged with Piedmont Olsen in 1993. Myers holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and is a registered professional engineer.
Paczkowski's responsibilities include product development and implementation, and closure on major contracts. Formerly vice president of Environmental Services, Paczkowski was responsible there for the development and implementation of its output. He has 19 years' experience in the environmental investigation and remediation field, holds a bachelor's degree in geology, and is a registered professional geologist.
