BOMAG’s BC671RB and BC771RB refuse compactors
BOMAG's BC671RB and BC771RB refuse compactors offer high operating weights and superior engine power for operation in the most extreme landfill conditions.
KEWANEE, Ill. -- BOMAG's BC671RB and BC771RB refuse compactors offer high operating weights and superior engine power for operation in the most extreme landfill conditions.

Weighing 71,000 pounds, the BC671RB is equipped with a powerful Cummins water-cooled diesel engine with 350-horsepower output at 2,100 rpm. The BC771RB has an 81,000-pound operating weight with an additional 20 horsepower output at 2,100 rpm for enhanced performance.

The BC671RB/BC771RB combine efficient engine horsepower with a four-wheel independent hydrostatic drive system to provide greater tractive effort regardless of operating conditions.

The BOMAG refuse compactors are fitted with an ergonomically designed cabin to enhance operator performance and comfort. The cabin offers excellent all-around visibility, with tinted safety glass throughout, as well as an easy to understand control layout and adjustable steering column making operation simple and comfortable. A load-sensing system provides smooth and light steering and blade control.

The cabin also features industry-low cabin noise of less than 75 dba, cab heating, heated and air-suspended seat, AM/FM stereo cassette and air conditioning. The machine's ventilation system draws air through a fine filter and slightly pressurizes the cab to provide a comfortable work atmosphere and prevent the entry of polluted air into the cabin.

Standard compaction wheels are constructed with polygonal disk segments equipped with Caron pin-on teeth. The wedge-shaped design of the polygonal segment creates material confinement, while the tapered design of the teeth provides compaction force in all directions, laterally and beneath the tooth tip. This combination of confinement and compaction effectively demolishes and shreds refuse to reduce air void content and maximizes utilization of available space.
