CleanAire Animal Crematoriums
Cremation of pets or animal carcasses (frozen or not) in the CleanAire Cremator eliminates the spread of disease and contamination associated with burial or landfill.
CleanAire Cremators have low capital and operating costs as well as low labour requirements. Maintenance costs are low due to the small number of moving parts in the system.
The CleanAire Cremator remains are inert and non-toxic. Standard designs are available for capacities of 300 to 2,400 lbs/day (136 to 1,100 kgs/day) or have one custom sized to suit your needs.
Benefits Include:
- Saves labour costs — eliminates need for a full-time Operator
- Latest state-of-the-art technology meets new strict environmental regulations
- Fully automated operation ensures low operating costs
- Small equipment footprint
- Remote monitoring and diagnostics for on-line troubleshooting at your site
- Automated record-keeping for compliance with environmental permits
- New advanced lining reduces repair costs as compared to traditional refractory
- Leasing packages available (o.a.c.)
The CleanAire Cremator system involves a two stage process. During the first stage, cremation occurs at temperatures above 1200°F (649°C) in the primary chamber. Critical process parameters such as temperature, airflow and burner output, are automatically computer controlled to maintain high efficiency cremation. Smoke and gases than travel into the secondary (afterburner) chamber, where they are re-burned for a clear and odourless exhaust. The process is automatically monitored using proven state-of-the-art instrumentation, eliminating the need for a full-time operator.
Operating costs are minimized by computer-control of the burners and air flow into the system. After a minimum retention time of approximately one to two seconds in the afterburner, the combustion is complete. Remaining harmless and odour-free gases are emitted through the exhaust stack. Optional electronic sensors can be used to monitor and record the levels of stack emissions according to local environmental regulations.
The complete cremation cycle, which consists of loading, combustion, cooling, ash removal, and re-loading occurs over 6-12 hours.
