The PC Scale System is written with 4GL front end language that allows seamless integration with multiple database engines. Btrieve, Pervasive.SQL and Oracle are all supported by PC Scale. This allows PC Scale to scale the database towards the user needs. PC Scale will work on a single stand alone PC to a full blown NT or Novell NetWare environment.
For larger network installations, the server (NT or Novell) contains the database engine and the executable code. The clients are configured to allows multiple users to share and update data from a centralized server. This centralized process allows simplified backup procedures and maintenance.
