Drum Crushers

The massive extra heavy duty constructed Drum Crusher uses high quality industrial rated major brands and hydraulic and electric components that make for a long life and exceptional performance.

The Drum Crusher is designed to crush standard 14 gauge 55 gallon steel drums and will even crush 14 gauge D.O.T.-5 with covers in position. Its platen is made with 1" thick steel.

There are two operating options:
1) Manual Option

Operator places barrel in the crusher, closes and locks the door, presses the motor start button, depresses and holds the ram control lever, ram moves down and flattens the drum, operator reverses the control lever, and the ram returns to the top or open position.

2) Automatic Operation

Operator places drum in the crusher, closes and locks the door, presses the start button, the ram descends flattens the barrel, returns automatically to the open positon and the motor shuts off.

The Drum Crusher uses a drum punch, which is a round hardened punch in the face of the ram which pushes a hole in the drum top to exhaust air as the drum collapses. With this, tight fitting drum tops do not have to be removed or loosened.
