Often situations arise in bank, channel, and shore protection where a 12-in. or 18-in. flexible revetment is needed. In many cases, this protection can cover a broad surface area, and the use of individual box gabions may require extensive connection time. To meet such requirements, Maccaferri has introduced the Gabion Mat. The Mat is a rectangular container made of heavily galvanized steel wire woven in a double-twist, hexagonal mesh pattern. It is supplied in a roll of 100 ft. long by 6 ft. or 9 ft. wide. Features include:
