Garb Oil & Power Corp. Announces Shipment Of Largest Mobile Shredder

Salt Lake City, UT — Oil & Power Corporation announced today that it is shipping this week to New York State the most powerful mobile shredder produced for shredding tires. It is driven by a 700 HP Caterpillar Diesel engine and is capable of shredding the largest steel belted radial truck tires. Market price for a Garbalizer Shredder of this size and type is approximately $500,000.00 FOB Salt Lake City.

The shredder was purchased by Rifenburg Contractors of New York who currently has contracts with the state of New York to clean up stockpiled scrap tires. Rifenburg chose the Garb-Oil Garbalizer Shredder because of its durability and performance history over the past thirty-two years. A similar 600HP shredder was sold to a Norwegian company in 1995 to clean up millions of scrap tires stockpiled throughout the nation of Norway. Within three years the Garbalizer shredder had processed more than six million stockpiled tires and the tire shreds were used for fuel in the cement industry of Norway and Sweden. The latest information available to the company was the shredder continues to operate in Norway and travels the length of the country annually to process tires that are stockpiled by the cities in anticipation for arrival of the shredder to process its surplus scrap tires.

Garb-Oil produces various sizes and types of Garbalizer shredders that can be used to shred garbage, construction debris, steel drums, scrap tires and other difficult items that must be reduced in size for further recycling or disposal. Garb-Oil shredders are available up to 1000HP for shredding large OTR tires that weigh more than 10 tons each and 14'0 in diameter, this special shredder sells for $989,000.00 FOB Salt Lake City.

During October 2004, Garb-Oil shipped two stationary shredders to Waverly Virginia where they are currently processing scrap tires that are stockpiled in Virginia. The scrap tire by-products produced by the two Virginia machines are mulch, which is used for ground cover and fill around athletic field equipment to reduce injuries and as fuel to generate electricity. These shredders sold for approximately $600,000,00 and were smaller than the mobile shredder currently being shipped to New York.

The mechanisms for the Garb-Oil shredders are built in China then shipped to Modyne Manufacturing and Machine in Salt Lake City where the drive systems are installed and the shredders tested prior to deliver to the buyer job location.

During 2004 the giant Garb-Oil Garbalizer shredders were chosen by The Chinese Government EPA to process scrap tires and other waste generated in all 32 provinces throughout China, in anticipation for the Olympics. The shredders sold in China are built in China, under License from Garb-Oil, by the company who manufactures shredders for Garb-Oil.
