George Fischer Introduces New Signet 2551 Magmeter Flow Sensor

El Monte, CA -- The 2551 is a cost-effective solution in conductive liquid applications involving particles, solids, fibers, etc. usually associated with industrial influent or effluent. Due to the lack of moving parts, the Magmeter lowers service and replacement costs dramatically. Installation is eased because the 2551 retrofits into the same sensor fittings used for the popular 515 and 2536 Signet Paddlewheel sensors, mounting the sensor in pipes ranging from DN15 to DN200 (0.5 to 8 in.).

Available in a variety of wetted materials such as Polypropylene and PVDF, the unit features 316LSS electrodes at the sensing tip, providing a level of corrosion resistance uncommon in most other fluid sensing technologies. This makes it ideal for applications in chemical processing, water and wastewater monitoring, scrubber control, etc.

Three output versions heighten this product's versatility: frequency, 4 to 20mA and digital (S3L). The frequency output allows for connection to the Signet flow transmit- ters, monitors, 8900 Multi-Parameter Controller (also accepts digital input), 8550 Flow Transmitter, 5600 Batch Controller, etc. The 4 to 20 mA signal version can connect directly into the Signet 5091 Current Monitor, PC, PLC or Data Loggers. A Set-Up Tool, part number 3-0232, is available to customize the analog output with application features such as K-Factors, engineering units, loop range, and performance settings such as averaging, sensitivity, noise rejection and low-flow cut-off.

Some other important features include:

  • No moving parts = long service life• High linearity
  • Test certificate supplied with every sensor
  • Compact design
  • Minimal installation and maintenance costs
  • Two year warranty
  • Ideal paddlewheel upgrade
  • Unbeatable pricing
Just a few of the many possible applications:
  • Water
  • Fume Scrubbers
  • Industrial Waste Treatment
  • Cooling Towers
  • Desalination
  • Electroplating and Surface Finishing
  • Public Swimming Pools
