GR-320 enviSpec Gamma Ray Spectrometer
The GR-320 Environmental Gamma Ray Spectrometer analyses the intensities and energies of all gamma rays to calculate total exposure or dose rate
The GR-320 Environmental Gamma Ray Spectrometer analyses the intensities and energies of all gamma rays to calculate total exposure or dose rate. An extensive library of nuclides and their respective energies is used for nuclide identification. The standard system utilizes a high sensitivity 76x76 mm (3"x3") Nal crystal for monitoring environmental levels of both man-made and natural gamma radiation. Each system is calibrated to calculate and display the concentrations of potassium, uranium and thorium. Using an add on Global Positioning System, the gamma ray data can be compiled with accurate positional data to map natural or man-made contamination. The system provides a rapid and effective means for in-situ analysis as a follow-up to airborne gamma ray surveys or as a stand alone ground survey technique.
