Heil Environmental acquires Bayne Machine Works

Heil Environmental Industries, Ltd., a Dover Corporation subsidiary, has acquired Bayne Machine Works, Inc., located in Greenville, SC.

Bayne is a leading manufacturer of hydraulic lift systems utilized in the waste industry. Bayne's patented rack and pinion rotary actuator is unique in the industry.

According to Heil President Glenn Chambers, "Bayne's excellent growth record has been the result of new product development, quick delivery, outstanding customer service, after-market support and high quality products—all key ingredients that make Bayne a perfect fit for Heil and for our parent company, Dover Corporation. Dover and Heil are acquiring a solid, growing company."

Jimmy Bayne, the founder of Bayne Machine Works who will remain as President of the company, added, "With the financially strong, growth-oriented ownership that Dover and Heil provide, Bayne Machine Works will be better positioned to move quickly in meeting the needs of the waste industry."

Heil is the world's largest manufacturer of refuse collection bodies, with manufacturing facilities located in Fort Payne, AL., Phoenix, AZ, Tishomingo, MS, and overseas in Scotland. The company, established in 1901, produces a full line of collection vehicles, including rear loaders, front loaders, automated vehicles and recycling bodies.
