IMCO Changes Board Members

IMCO Recycling Inc. (Irving, TX) announced that Hugh G. Robinson and William Warshauer were elected members of the company's board of directors at the annual meeting on May 12.

Robinson is chairman and chief executive officer of The Tetra Group, Inc., a construction management firm located in Dallas. He is a former chairman and board member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.

Warshauer is the former chief executive officer of Alchem Aluminum, Inc., a producer of specification aluminum alloys that was acquired by IMCO in November 1997. He founded Alchem Aluminum, which primarily serves the automotive market from its production facility in Coldwater, MI, in 1970. Warshauer retired as CEO of Alchem Aluminum upon his election to IMCO's board of directors.

Also effective May 12, J.M. Brundrett--a member of IMCO's original board of directors--and Jack C. Page retired from the company's board. In addition, Ralph L. Cheek retired from the company's board of directors but will serve as a director emeritus to IMCO for a three-year term. Cheek retired as the company's chairman and CEO in 1994.

With the changes in directors that were announced today, the IMCO board now has seven members.
