Sliding Vane Compressors are designed for use in landfill applications and other corrosive applications where the gas stream to be compressed contains heavy hydro-carbons and wet CO2. The lubrication system in the unit enables it to work with low ration and discharge pressure applications. The lube oil in a sliding vane is a once thru lubrication, thus not contaminating or breaking down the oil viscosity. Maintenance and actual repairs can be made in the field, due to the simplicity of the compressor design and the assembly of the compressor package.
