PJ's Coffee Of New Orleans Introduces Environmentally Friendly Cups
Atlanta, GA - Distributed to PJ's coffeehouses in April, the Greenware cups are available in 12, 16 and 20 ounce sizes. PJ's will utilize them for its cold beverage line, including traditional iced coffee and tea and specialty beverages such as Velvet Ice, granitas and this season's feature beverage, Ginger Peach Tea.
"We are eager to move a step in the right direction in regards to the environment," explains Randy Hollingsworth, vice president and brand leader of PJ's Coffee of New Orleans. "In addition to being fully biodegradable, corn resin offers more stable pricing, relying less on petroleum byproducts than plastic cups. We look forward to moving toward a more eco-friendly line of paper products in the future as well," concludes Hollingsworth.
In celebration of its beloved city of New Orleans, PJ's Coffee consumers can also expect to see a new line of coffee packaging in-stores next month -- four distinct, nostalgic whole bean coffee bags featuring images known around the world as classic New Orleans. The award-winning designs feature images of a Canal Street trolley, Jackson Square chapel, Bourbon Street jazz band and a Garden District antebellum manor – all done in a sepia tone finish.
