The Pond-X2 odor eliminator is a formulation of metal ions that provides odor control for ponds, lagoons, low flow collection systems, and other liquid waste streams. The eliminator is added directly to the liquid waste. It precipitates odorous sulfides and neutralizes volatile organic materials.
The metal ions serve as micro nutrients to they bacteria in the waste, increasing their activity and reducing BODs, suspended solids, and total nitrogen. The eliminator can be used for emergency odor control or as a regular additive for overload systems. Treatment is accomplished by precharging at the required rate and then using a daily addition of the eliminator based on the influent load. The product is only effective when the liquid being treats has a pH of 7 or less.
