ERIAL, NJ - Wastequip Accurate offers the Accu-Hoist-Controller (AHC) that safeguards drivers, equipment, and property. This safety device helps prevent accidents by alerting waste truck drivers when they fail to lower their cable hoists before driving off.

The AHC (patent-pending) provides a safety check for drivers who inadvertently leave their hoists in the raised position, then drive onto roads and highways where there is a dangerous potential of hitting overpasses and other obstacles. Such accidents can cause serious, even fatal, injuries and substantial equipment and property damage. The AHC automatically lowers the hoist when the truck reaches a predetermined speed while alerting the driver with a warning light and buzzer.

Available in an ANSI compliant system, the AHC can be factory installed on all new Wastequip Accurate roll-off hoists or field installed with a factory available kit. The kit allows installation on most brands of roll-off hoists, regardless of the manufacturer.

"The AHC is one of the waste industry's most signification innovations in the last 20 years," stated Seth Weingarten, Vice President of Technical Products. "This device can prevent serious injury or loss of life, not to mention loss of equipment, property damage, and costly down-time." Headquartered in Erial, New Jersey, Wastequip Accurate manufactures a full line of solid waste handling equipment including hoists, trailers, containers, compactors, and balers.
