Solid Waste Management Video Series

Urban Waste Management & Research CenterEnvironment: Solid Waste Issues and Options" is an 8-part video series featuring interviews from state regulators, waste haulers, public and elected officials, waste experts and private citizens from across Louisiana. Cities that participated include Alexandria, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Lake Charles and Shreveport. Issues include waste generation and characterization, waste minimization, residential recycling, composting, special wastes and regionalization. Each episode deals with a different aspect of the solid waste management process. From generation to collection, transfer, recycling, composting and disposal, each episode (27 minutes) presents useful information for any solid waste division. Episodes may be purchased individually or the entire set may be purchased.
