Tapered V-Bottom Trailers

Lighter and stronger than other "so-called" light weight trailers, the Tapered V-Bottom withstands "Torsional Twist" in long trailer lengths that will normally crack other light weight trailers. Vertical and lateral extruded aluminum structural members provide the utmost strength in this vital area.

Lighter weight equals a greater legal payload. Our Tapered V-Bottom dump trailer in a 39' length is 2,000 to 3,000 lbs. lighter than most competitive makes. That's one and a half tons more payload on every trip. The Patented Tapered V-Bottom design allows a stronger, more durable trailer to be built with solid welded floor sills, side post, top rail and rub rails.

The Tapered V-Bottom with the Quicksilver UHMW Thick Tail Liner on the floor and up the sides, will prevent almost anything from sticking. We've yet to have frozen coal, agg lime, cement, frozen manure, wet sand, frozen sand, chat, fly ash, ore concentrate, sludge, brick clay or tar, stick above 34° of dump angle with the liner installed.

The Tapered V-Bottom has a long enough hoist to dump the trailer at 39°. The unique Patented Tapered V-design, however, allows the load to discharge out the rear of the trailer at a very low dump angle. This means that the Tapered V-Bottom is a safer dumping trailer. There is no way to wedge a load in this trailer.
