Transfer Station Systems
The BlokPak 3000 features a retractable vertical steel gate. Waste is fed into the large feed opening and compacted in the compaction chamber against the vertical steel gate forming 8-10 ft. logs of waste. The logs are then ejected into a transfer trailer. After the trailer is full, the BlokPak continues to process waste while the trailers are being changed, saving valuable time. The BlokPak processes waste at a rate of approximately 90 tons per hour (continuous).
The TS-2000 is an affordable transfer system that uses a ram to compress the municipal solid waste through Marathon's patented ADR-Automatic Density Regulator. Each time the ram cycles; the ADR extrudes the waste into a continuous log as it is pushed into the transfer trailer.
The BlokPak and TS-2000 eliminate many of the problems associated with conventional over-the-top transfer station operations. Some of the features and benefits include: compaction takes place within the compactor and then pushed into the trailer. This means lighter, less expensive transfer trailers can be used. They also eliminate the need for tamping which causes damage to trailers. The TS-2000 requires very little site preparation and can be moved without major loss of investment. The BlokPak fits nicely into existing transfer stations designed for over-the-top operations.
