Waste Management Buys Out Recycle America Alliance
Houston, TX Waste Management Inc. is buying out its minority partners in Recycle America Alliance and returning the operation to a wholly owned subsidiary of the company.
Recycle America Alliance was born in January 2003 when Waste Management split off a portion of its recycling assets and starting partnering with other recycling companies in an effort to build a more efficient recycling network.
"Some customers were simply confused when Waste Management and Recycle America Alliance offered bundled services," said Harry Pelz, market area vice president. "They got the impression that we were two completely separate companies. These changes really simplify things for customers and for our sales effort."
The company's new name is WM Recycle America LLC.
