Waste Recyclers Holdings Renamed Emerald Waste Services

Freeport, FL — Waste Recyclers Holdings, a WHI Capital Partners portfolio company, has announced it has been renamed Emerald Waste Services to reflect its full range of residential, construction and commercial waste service offerings and its regional ties.

Based on the Emerald Coast of Northwest Florida, the company has extensive operations in construction and demolition, commercial and residential waste collection, as well as portable toilet rental and servicing with more than 3,500 portable toilets. Emerald Waste Services is poised to take advantage of the Emerald Coast region's strong population growth and expanding military facilities, which have resulted in extensive residential and commercial real estate development.

Emerald owns and operates six construction and demolition landfills, making it the market leader in construction and demolition disposal with more than 28 million cubic yards under management. The company owns a fleet of over 90 trucks and provides collection services to the area's construction, commercial and residential markets. Emerald services over 2,600 construction and demolition customers, more than 700 commercial businesses in the region and more than 10,000 residential units in Bay County. It also provides commercial and residential solid waste services and operates a solid waste transfer station under municipal contract to The City of Port St. Joe. On the military side, Emerald services Tyndall Air Force Base and the US Naval Station Coastal Systems Center. The company employs more than 140 people and has operations in Freeport, Panama City and Port St. Joe, Florida.
