Wetland Delineation and Mitigation
Andrews can accurately define whether an area meets the criteria of a jurisdictional wetland. In some cases, areas that appear to be functioning as wetland communities may be lacking one or more of the required criteria and, therefore, can be classified as non-wetlands. Likewise, an area which normally appears to be an upland community may indeed be classified as a wetland.
Andrews Environmental Engineering Inc. also has experience designing created wetlands for mitigation purposes. Created wetlands are new wetlands designed specifically for the flora and fauna they provide. Mitigation of impacted wetlands by the creation of new wetlands is a common practice.
We have extensive experience working with state and federal agencies to solve wetlands' issues. Our staff of scientists, hydrogeologists and environmental engineers can provide a cost-effective, technically sound solution for your project.
