The HC 5400 Heavy Duty Recycler is a mid-sized grinder that produces up to 395 yds³/hr. It features a totally enclosed grinding chamber designed to eliminate flying debris. This unit is powered by a 575 hp diesel engine and offers a rotary hammer mill grinder that is efficient at processing high moisture content organic material without plugging. Carbide bits mounted to fixed, non-swinging hammers size materials and a horizontal, flat-chain conveyor works with a crushing feed roller to continuously feed materials to the grinder.
This system is designed for processing greenwaste, land clearing debris and construction debris. Product sizing is determined by an easy-access grate system, with a variety of grate sizes available. The grinder can also be used in congested areas and urban collection centers.
